Privacy policy

This policy explains how personal data is handled when you use our website or book an appointment.

Data controller

Tandvårdshuset i Älmhult AB (corporate ID 556765-8652) is the data controller. For questions or to exercise your rights, contact almhult@tandvardshuset.net, call 0476-133 88 or write to Danska vägen 7, 343 31 Älmhult, Sweden.

Data and purposes

  • Booking and contact: your personal identity number, name, contact details, selected clinic, treatment and time, and information you provide. This is used to identify you, handle your request and administer your visit.
  • Registration: your name, phone number, e-mail address if you provide it, selected clinic, who the registration is for and your message. The details are sent as an e-mail to the clinic so that we can contact you and complete the registration. The form does not ask for your personal identity number.
  • Technical operation: your IP address and technical connection information are processed to deliver the website, protect the service and troubleshoot problems.

Please avoid sending sensitive health information or your personal identity number by ordinary e-mail. Call the clinic if you are unsure how to provide information.

Legal basis

Handling a booking request and administering your appointment are necessary to perform a contract or take steps at your request before a contract. Care and record keeping also involve legal obligations. Health data is processed when necessary to provide and administer dental care under the rules for health care. Secure operation is based on our legitimate interest in protecting the service and its data.

Your cookie choice is separate from the processing needed for your care and booking.

How information is transferred

Booking details are transferred over an encrypted connection through our booking service to Frenda, which the clinic uses for appointments and dental records. Authorised staff and suppliers needed for hosting, booking and messaging process information for these purposes. The website's booking service does not keep personal identity numbers, booking forms or registration requests in a separate database. Registration requests are sent through our e-mail provider to the clinic's e-mail.

Retention

Frenda appointment and dental records are handled according to retention requirements for dental care. Contact us for information about your particular records. Technical information is used for as long as needed for operation and security.

Cookies and local storage

Analytics and marketing cookies are used only if you choose them in the cookie settings (legal basis: consent). You can withdraw your choice at any time via the footer link; the cookies are then deleted from your device.

  • Statistics – Google Analytics 4: shows us which public information pages are used. Google Analytics is not loaded on booking, registration or login pages. Events such as link or phone-number clicks on information pages may be used for advertising statistics; they are not counted as bookings. Cookies _ga and _ga_* for up to 2 years. Processor: Google Ireland Ltd; data may be processed in the USA under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
  • Our own booking measurement: if you consent to both statistics and marketing, the most recent allowed campaign and ad-group code is stored as tvh-ad-source in local browser storage on this device. The code may be used to associate a confirmed booking with the marked ad visit for up to 7 days. This includes return visits in the same browser or a new tab; ordinary return visits do not extend the period. After 7 days the code is no longer used. It is removed while the website is open or on your next visit; if the browser is closed, the expired information may remain locally until then. A new marked ad visit replaces the previous campaign code and starts its own seven-day period. We remember that a Google click marker was present, but never store the click identifier itself in that storage or with the booking. Once Frenda confirms the booking, the campaign code is associated with our protected booking log for aggregate reporting of advertising costs and bookings. Confirmed bookings are not sent to Google or Meta, and those services are not loaded on booking pages. Repeated confirmations are not counted again in the log. Consent, the time limit and technical restrictions mean that not every booking from advertising can be measured. Withdrawing consent removes the local campaign code and stops future measurement of this kind. Previous consent to 30-minute measurement is not extended automatically; we ask again for this storage. Contact us to withdraw consent for a source already recorded with a booking.
  • Marketing – Meta pixel: measures our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. The pixel is not loaded on the booking, registration or login pages and does not collect form data. Cookie _fbp for 90 days. Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd is joint controller with us for the collection and transfer via the pixel and an independent controller for its own further processing (see Meta's privacy policy); data may be processed in the USA under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

The following storage always supports the website’s basic functions:

  • Cookie choice: tvh-cookie-choice is stored locally on your device for 180 days. It contains your choice and its date, with no contact or appointment information.
  • Technical cache: public images, styles, scripts and an offline page may be stored by the browser. Booking responses and patient details are never stored in this cache. Old file versions are removed when it is updated.

Open again using the footer link. You can also clear site data in your browser; this shows the cookie information again.

Your rights

You may request information and access to your personal data and correction of inaccurate data. Depending on the processing, you may also request erasure, restriction or portability and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Erasure is not always possible, for example where records must be kept by law. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing data.

You may complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) if you believe your data has been handled incorrectly.
